The Accessibility Forum took place on Tuesday 20th May 2014, This was an opportunity for members of staff within the Colleges who have a responsibility for working with disabled learners to come toegther and share ideas, practice and see live demonstrations of adaptive technology. 

Purpose of the event:

  • To bring together staff who support students with specific learning or accessibility difficulties to share practice and provide mutual advice, especially in the use of assistive technologies.
  • To discuss the implications of developing accessible teaching materials and digital resources.
  • To find out what others are doing in this arena, discuss what you are planning to do and understand how the Bloomsbury Learning Environment (BLE) Service can support these plans.

Aims of this event:

  • To share resources available in Bloomsbury and take away useful tools, tricks and tips for supporting students.
  • To understand the importance of accessible learning materials and where to find online resources.
  • To see a demonstration of an accessibility tool.
