Setting up your computer

California State University has developed a tool that checks your browser's setup, including plugins required. As our requirements are very similar to theirs, we recommend you run CSU's Web Browser Check Up and act upon the advice.

Before running the test, please note the following:

1. Browser Type:
   Safari and Chrome will work with Moodle, but you will not be able to use the rich text editor when you write forum messages etc. We therefore recommend you use a different browser with Moodle - Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Opera are all fine.
   
2. Quicktime, Windows Media Player, Real Player and Silverlight:
   These plugins are not required. You can ignore the results of the last four tests of CSU's Web Browser Check Up.
