Downloading a file

In Moodle downloading files is very similar to any other website, but try downloading and opening the pdf file "Getting Started with Moodle" below.

As Moodle supports pdf files you will probably find that left clicking the above file will cause it to open in a pdf reader in another window.

You can either read it this way in this window, but when you let your mouse hover over the document you should see a set of icons appear. The first of which (a floppy disk icon) allows you save a copy of the file to your hard drive and open up using your own pdf reader.
