During this week's session, you will work in groups of 4 to use your knowledge of year 1 children's literature to plan a day's activities for children to celebrate World Book Day.
You will then present your plan of activities to the whole group, with resourced referenced using Harvard style.
Before the session
1. Watch the video (5 mins). As you watch, make a note of the techniques they use to motivate the children to look at books - pause the video to make a note.
2. Follow the links to the online resources below and select at least two to read and take notes (30 mins). Make sure you make a note of the referencing information.
Tip: You can use a tool such as Harvard Generator (opens in a new window) to help you create your reference list in Harvard style.
3. Search the web for more resources to read and select at least two further resources on World Book Day to recommend to the class (20 mins).
