Welcome to the Digital Skills Awareness course for teaching staff

Transcript

This awareness course outlines the key digital skills needed by academic teaching staff and points you toward resources and institutional support to acquire or improve those skills. This course offers information and advice from a variety of sources, including other academics and university support staff, as well as helpful links and videos from around the internet.

How to complete

Please work through the course in sequence by clicking on each heading and topic link. Read through the pages, watch videos and follow links to read, browse, bookmark or download as appropriate. You can return to this home screen by clicking the course code link in the bar above or using your "back" button. You must click on the little box next to each topic to mark it as complete.

At the end of each Unit, you will find a quiz to test your knowledge and help embed some of the key points in your memory. You will need to score 100% on all quizzes to pass the course, but you can retake each quiz as many times as you like. To pass the course, you will need to have ticked off all topics and completed all quizzes. You will then achieve a badge, which is proof of successful completion.
